Nilabrata Sanyal
Student, Active OpenStreetMap Contributor, Open Mapping Guru (HOT Asia-Pacific), Member (OpenStreetMap Foundation)Nilabrata (going by the moniker NLBRT on the internet) is a hobbyist designer and a student in Computer Science at Siliguri Government Polytechnic. He's actively contributing to OpenStreetMap, the world's largest open geodatabase project, mapping around his hometown of Jalpaiguri, as well as surrounding places like Siliguri, Lataguri, Maynaguri, Dhupguri, and several other remote places across North Bengal. His key focus is on accessibility, pedestrian inclusivity and well-representing the indigenous people through mapping. Aside that, he also focuses on localisation of Free Software in Bengali, as well as redesigning their interfaces to appeal to the general public, pushing for mass adoption.
